What's Next

It's really happening - Secrets of a Soprano will be here on April 11th!

It's a little later than I hoped, but it'll be here in no time. Before your taxes are due even!  One of the delays is getting the cover finalized - well actually started. I decided to opt for a photo shoot rather than using stock art, because I couldn't find the right picture. I found a photographer and a model but then I couldn't find the right dress. So I ended up having a friend make a period gown suitable for a Regency super star. (Alert: not a Regency period phrase.) I am very excited about the shoot and can't wait to see the results. Meanwhile, here's the updated description:

Great fame brings great heartbreak …

No one knows the perils of celebrity better than Teresa Foscari, Europe’s most famous opera singer. The public knows her as a glamorous and tempestuous diva, mistress to emperors, a reputation created by the newspapers and the ruthless man who exploited her. Now she has come to London to make a fresh start and find her long lost English family.

Foscari’s peerless voice thrills all London—except Maximilian Hawthorne, Viscount Allerton, the wealthy patron of opera—and lover of singers. Notorious Teresa Foscari is none other than Tessa, the innocent girl who broke his youthful heart. When his glittering new opera house sits half empty, thanks to the soprano filling the seats of his competitor’s theater, Max vows to stop the woman he unwillingly still desires.

Amidst backstage intrigue and the sumptuous soirées of fashionable London, the couple’s rivalry explodes in angry accusations and smashed china. With her popularity at stake, Tessa must fight for her career—and resist her burning attraction to the man who wishes to destroy her.

Coming in 2017

After a long wait, I can finally announce my new series for publication by Kensington Books. My Ladies in Disgrace are three young women, ruined through no fault of their own, who find vindication with the aid of an unlikely trio of heroes. All three books will be published in 2017, in both print and ebook.
